The HASA R4 road bike is one of the flagship bikes of the brand despite being priced as an entry-level bike that is designed for beginner road bike riders.
I would say that the HASA R4 is perfectly suited for new road bike riders that are looking for a quick bike to take them to and from work on a daily basis.

It is also well suited to those who see themselves as casual riders as well.

HASA R4 Road Bike Review
HASA, or the Heng Feng Bicycle Company, are a brand that has been designing road bikes and folding bikes such as the HASA F3 for many, many years – in actual fact, they have been designing a range of different types of bikes too.
While most people reading this will have never heard of the brand and will be more aware of the big names such as Schwinn and Nashbar – the HASA R4 road bike should certainly be considered.
The company was founded way back in the early 1990s and has been a relatively small brand ever since.
They are extremely proud of what they have achieved so far and they should be, many of their road bikes are some of the finest specimens around, despite being surrounded by models that cost two, three, or more times the price.
HASA is a global brand today and they are fully focused on producing quality bikes, such as the HASA R4, that are designed to compete with these more expensive models.
“As a long-term HASA road bike fan, I was excited to try out the HASA R4 and it did not disappoint – another gorgeously styled bike by the company!”
The HASA R4 is one of the flagship road bikes of the brand despite being priced as an entry-level bike that is designed for beginner road bike riders.

Performance
This road bike comes complete with 21 gear speeds and so it is designed to be quick on flat roads and steep hills alike.
For beginner riders this is exactly what you want, while it is definitely more than okay to purchase a bike with fewer gear speeds, the more the merrier for new riders.
The frame of the HASA R4 is crafted using 6061 aluminum, a lightweight design is perfect for all riders – while it does weigh more than carbon fiber, it is a lot lighter than bikes that are formed using steel or steel-based alloy frames.
Test Ride
Another feature of an aluminum frame is durability and overall stability, firstly they are designed to last much more so than carbon fiber.
Secondly, they are excellent at absorbing vibrations that are caused by bumps or potholes in the road.
I would say that the HASA R4 is one of the finest bikes around at remaining very stable on the road, we never found any difficulty on the road with this outstanding model and would highly recommend it in this regard.
The bike beautifully supports your weight, and is very resistant to damage and all of this is a result of the quality components put into it from the top down.
The gearing system of the HASA R4 is built by Shimano, it enables very fast switching between gears while utilizing both front and rear derailleurs.
The tires on the R4 are very high quality, they are narrow to ensure that there is minimal resistance between the bike and the road but surprisingly they also offer an awful lot of grip too, this isn’t something that we see too often in the world of road biking.
The tires are produced by Innova and they are 700c x 25c, forged by double-walled rims.

Concluding Remarks
I think that all in all the HASA R4 road bike is a very comfortable ride, it has been designed with perfection in mind by HASA and I found it extremely difficult to find anything wrong with it, to be honest.
The only issue in my eyes is that sometimes my posture is not exactly as I would like it to be, but this is largely due to the fact that I believe I did not spend enough time adjusting the saddle or handlebars.
The Best Road Bikes I’ve Reviewed This Year:
#1 Tommaso Imola: This is my absolute favorite road bike for beginner to intermediate riders who use their bike regularly. It comes with a 24-speed Shimano Claris drivetrain, Corsa TC20 wheels, an aluminum frame, and ultracompact handlebars. Check out what the Tommaso Imola is going for on Amazon right now.
#2 Vilano Shadow 3.0: I really like this road bike for anyone who’s looking for exceptional performance on a tight budget. The Vilano has features, such as integrated shifters, which I would only expect to see at a much higher price point. It performs exceptionally well on the road too even for longer distances. Check out the amazing reviews it’s been getting!
