Swag Cycle Pro Review
There are a couple of primary use cases of the Swagtron SwagCycle Pro. The first one is more practical.
If you need to ride public transit and want something compact to cover small distances, this electric bike is for you. The second use case of this electric scooter is purely for fun.
You can buy it for your kids, who surely will get the most out of this incredible little bike.
It’s exceptionally lightweight, which also means improved speed, and it is also reasonably priced, which means more people can afford it.
The SwagCycle Pro is designed to let you go from one place to another in style. You can use the dedicated app with this bike to optimize its speed.
Speed
Speed is one of the main advantages of scooters versus folding bikes and was my most notable feature of the Swagtron SwagCycle Pro. It’s one of the modern electric bikes, and it’s equipped with a powerful hub motor.
It allows you to achieve the maximum throttle speed of 18 miles per hour or 29 kilometers per hour.
The app is one of the best features of the SwagCycle Pro.
You can pair it with your Android or iPhone, which allows you to optimize your speed and keep track of your GPS location, speed, battery life of the bike, and more.
Regardless of your speed, the bicycle ensures zero emissions and provides you with a green way to make the last mile to work, explore your neighborhood, or travel along your favorite pathways.
Range Per Charge
The Swagtron SwagCycle Pro is a pedal-free electric bicycle. It means all you need to do is sit back and enjoy your riding experience.
Along with impressive speed, the Swagtron SwagCycle Pro also offers a great battery range.
You can travel 15.5 miles or 24.9 kilometers of battery range, which means the Swagtron Pro can take you wherever you need to go.
Whether you want to cover short distances to reach your workplace or you want to wander around to explore the city, the range per charge is more than enough.
You can also use the Swagtron SwagCycle Pro even if you need to cover a short distance and then hop onto public transport.
That’s because this electric bike comes with folding handlebars and a folding stem. Not only can you take it to the subway, bus, and train, but you can also store it in your car’s trunk.
Motor Wattage
The Swagtron SwagCycle Pro is equipped with a powerful 350-watt motor that allows you to propel forward.
It means you can use this electric bike to climb any steep path up to 12 degrees.
The lithium-ion battery of this electric bike is also very powerful and rated at 4.4-amp hours or 37 volts.
The total charging time of the Swagtron SwagCycle Pro is 3 to 4 hours (from zero to 100 percent), which is good; however, it could be better. However, you can charge it after reaching home to get it ready for the next day.
Another great feature of this Swagtron electric bike is that you don’t need to carry any external adapter or cable.
That’s because this electric scooter comes with a built-in charger. The Swagtron SwagCycle Pro is an eco-friendly and fun way to cover distances on even flat roads.
Maximum Load
While it comes with a compact and tiny form factor, you can put a lot of weight on the back of this electric bike.
The maximum weight capacity of the Swagtron SwagCycle Pro is 264 pounds or 120 kilograms. It’s one of the best features of this bike that we noticed during our testing.
This bike also comes with a couple of steep pegs (footrests) that you can use to rest your legs. The built-in electric throttle takes you to the place where you need to go.
This electric bike can easily cruise over sidewalks, normal roads, and even unpaved roads (without too much gravel) with a maximum load that it supports.
However, the total range can decrease by a mile or two if you move at full speed with maximum load.
Better yet, the electric bike also offers a hidden storage box that you can use to store your phone and charging cables while taking a break or riding.
Other Features
The Swagtron SwagCycle Pro also features a good quality headlight and brake light that allows you to safely ride your electricity through a poorly lit environment or at night.
A small button (horn) is located on the left handlebar that allows you to make your presence known to other people.
Its steel pegs, where you can rest your legs, are conveniently placed and suitable for people with long legs.
My testing shows that people 6 feet tall can easily and comfortably ride this electric bike.
The Swagtron bike’s frame is made of aluminum, and it’s very sturdy and durable. In addition, collapsing the handlebars and stem of the bike doesn’t take more than a minute.

Test Ride
We first noticed before testing the Swagtron SwagCycle Pro its compact form factor. You can take this electric bike anywhere you want, including inside a subway, train, or bus. You can store it in the trunk for easy transportation.
Before riding, we also tested the folding mechanism.
As mentioned, the handlebar and stem are collapsible, and you can fold them within seconds. After unboxing your package, you’ll need to attach the seat and steel pegs to their places, which is very easy and shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes.
You might also need to pump the rubber rites to achieve the recommended pressure.
Keep in mind that this electric bike is meant for flat surfaces and paved roads. It would be best to take it to unpaved pathways without too much gravel.
The wheels are small, and you won’t feel comfortable on bumpy terrain.
The Swagtron SwagCycle Pro is equipped with a powerful motor that propels you forward, but it can’t climb inclines more than 12 degrees.
The actual dimensions of this electric bike are 43 x 8.8 x 24.5 inches, and the folded dimensions are 40 x 29 x 12 inches. While it’s easy to carry upstairs, and you can also take this electric bike with you on a bus or train, you can’t check it into the airplane.
The overall riding experience of the Swagtron SwagCycle Pro exceeded our expectations.
We tested this bike to its limits by wearing a backpack to achieve maximum load. The cycle allowed us to cover about 10 miles with a full load at 13-15 MPH of speed, and we still had 1.4 battery life left.
The back and front disc brakes are great that stop the bike immediately, perhaps too abruptly.
You can loosen both front and rear wheel brakes if you feel that factory-fitted ones are too tight.

Alternatives

The Jetson Bolt Adult Folding Electric Ride comes with a 250-watt motor and offers a top speed of 15 miles per hour with a maximum range of 15.5 miles.
All of these numbers are lower than what the Swagtron SwagCycle Pro provides. It weighs 40 pounds, can support 250 pounds of weight, and has 12-inch front and back wheels.
However, the lower price tag and more stylish look make it a great alternative to the SwagCycle Pro.

The battery power is similar to Swagtron SwagCycle Pro, but it can’t offer the same speed and capacity because it weighs 46 pounds.
